The Woman Who Talked to the Dead a new feature film by César del Álamo
When Elena Castaño was a kid she had the gift of being able to communicate with the spirits of the dead… but as she grew up she lost it. Now she and her sister Úrsula live on this, organising fake seances in which they cheat the unwary. Elena, sick and tired of this life, has decided that tonight will be the night of her last séance. Everything is ready but there is an unexpected guest…
The Woman who Talked to the Dead is a horror comedy set in the world of spiritualism, written by Mario Parra, and the main stars are Ruxandra Oancea, Alba Messa, Rafa Casette, Cova de Alfonso, Lone Fleming, Maya Reyes, Chema Coloma, Nüll García, Gonzalo Navas, Cristina Soria, Sara Jiménez, Lucia Caraballo, Raúl del Álamo, Javier Lago, Ángela Boj, Inés Alba and Víctor Alcázar.
Many works are the inspiration of this film, works such as: M.R. James’ ghost stories, Agatha Christie, The Evil Dead, Hitchcock or even Billy Wilder. The idea is to make a movie in which people have fun while they are frightened, where people laugh just before recoiling in fright, and just right after laugh again.
The shooting will take place in May and June.
